# Card Avatars

`data.avatarSlot` is `(host, { item }) => cleanup?`. The host is created once per card and kept across re-renders (approving, editing, ticking), so a page can draw a live avatar in it. The cleanup runs when the card leaves or the queue is destroyed. `getSlot("avatar", proposalId)` returns the host.
