# Icon glyph, failed status, spoken words

`glyph: 'icon'` swaps the unicode ticks for an svg that is sized by `--xwui-chat-read-receipts-size` and hidden from assistive technology, with the spoken word as visually hidden text beside it. The `failed` status draws a cross in `--xwui-chat-read-receipts-failed-color`. `labels` replaces the spoken word per status; an empty string says nothing.
