# Rule readback

A rule written in plain language and read back as steps before anything is saved: **When** (blue), **Only if** (amber) and **Then** (green), each with the colour at the start edge and the word printed, so colour is never the only signal. A tool mark names where a step runs, a note chip flags what a step relies on, what still needs attention is listed under the steps, and the dry run names the items last week's rule would have touched.

Focus moves to the readback when a rule has just been read, so keyboard and screen-reader users land on the result; the polite status line announces "Rule read. Review it before turning it on." Edit returns to the box with the text kept. Turn on is disabled when `parsed.actionable` is false, and `parsed.primaryAction: 'save'` swaps it for Save rule.

In Arabic the step keys are not upper-cased or letter-spaced, the numbers keep Western digits, and each sentence and chip keeps its own direction.
